The Hestan Team reinvented the restaurant kitchen with award-winning inventive design. Now our engineers, designers, welders and fabricators have turned their attention to the backyard.
With over 200 years' experience in the culinary world, we knew we could bring a new level of performance to the outdoor kitchen – and make it in the USA. So we went to work on Hestan Outdoor. Every hinge, handle, grate and burner represents countless hours of thoughtful design. Hestan delivers precision performance to reach your culinary aspirations – and heavy-duty construction to weather the great outdoors.
Hestan Outdoor is headquartered in a state-of-the-art 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Anaheim, CA – including a showroom, testing kitchen and certified testing lab. We continue to collaborate with innovative chefs like Thomas Keller to create products that not only keep pace with culinary evolution but stay ahead of it.
Before stepping into the backyard, Hestan’s engineers spent years alongside chefs in commercial kitchens. They then re-invented the restaurant kitchen based on how chefs really cook. Hestan Commercial’s purpose-built design and powerful features have earned three Kitchen Innovations Awards, and even more impressively, a place in Thomas Keller’s French Laundry. Hestan is a subsidiary of Meyer Corporation, the largest cookware supplier in the U.S. When joined with its affiliates, Meyer Corporation comprises the second largest cookware concern in the world. Through over 100 branded and private label cookware lines, this larger group has led the industry with quality and innovation – including the first dishwasher-safe hard-anodized nonstick cookware. Widely recognized cookware brands distributed by Meyer Corporation, U.S. include: Circulon®, Anolon®, Farberware®, Ruffoni®, Cake Boss®, Rachael Ray®, Paula Deen® and SilverStone®.
Meyer Corporation CEO, Stanley Cheng, is an engineer by training with an innovative penchant for the culinary world. After transforming his family’s aluminum manufacturing plant into the global pioneer for non-stick cookware in the 1970’s, he relocated from China to California and continued divining better ways to cook – and better products to cook with. Meyer Corporation’s affiliates have cookware production facilities in China, Thailand and Italy.
Together with his wife Helen, Stanley Cheng also established the award-winning Hestan Vineyards. This family-owned estate on the eastern slopes of the Napa Valley is blanketed with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. In addition to shaping the character of Hestan’s varietals, their vines have supplied many of Napa Valley’s top-tier wineries.
Accomplished winemakers Mark Herold, Jeff Gaffner and Thomas Rivers Brown have all collaborated with Hestan to translate the vineyards’ terroir into wonderfully different and personally expressive styles of wine.
Hestan Vineyards’ labels include Hestan, Meyer and Stephanie. Their limited-release wines have been greeted by wide acclaim, including Robert Parker’s 95-point rating for their inaugural release – 2002 Hestan Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.
